We advise you to hang the door curtain somewhere in the attic or in the shed during the winter, so that the curtain will hang straight when you use it again in the spring. Of course, you can also put it away somewhere, but we advise you to do that 'in a nice loop'.
Frequently Asked Questions
Yes, that is possible. We sell various sizes of G-profiles. You attach these to the ceiling, after which you simply hang the door curtain ‘in there’.
The La Tenda door curtains are weatherproof, so yes, you can leave them outside when it rains or is windy, for example.
This can be done quite easily. The profiles used are made of aluminium, and can therefore be easily shortened with a hacksaw. Most La Tenda curtains are made of PVC strands, and these can be easily cut to the desired length with scissors, approximately 2 cm above the ground.
Each CASA door curtain is equipped with two or three eyelets at the top. A screw or nail fits through these, so hanging is quite easy.
Each La Tenda door curtain is supplied with an aluminium h-mounting profile. This ‘chair’-shaped profile is attached above the door, on or above the door frame. When you have fixed that, you just click the curtain profile over it easily.
The door curtains are available in the sizes 90x210cm, 100x230cm, 120x230cm and 140x230cm.
The curtains of 120 and 140cm wide can be supplied on request with centimetre accuracy.
Tip: The new La Tenda PRO curtains are also available in a room-high length of 250cm.
La Tenda PVC curtains need time and especially heat to hang out 100% properly. In warm summer weather this goes much faster than with a door curtain that is purchased in a colder month. You can speed up this hanging process by dividing the curtain into 2 halves in 2 bundles tied together after you have hung it. Then heat the bottom 1½ meters of both bundles for about 10 minutes with hot air from a hair dryer or hot air gun. The heat makes the strands supple and they hang nicely straight due to gravity.
Please note: Do not leave the heat source in one place for too long or TOO close to it, because then the PVC can melt.
